I Talk You Talk Translation was established in Shimane Prefecture, Japan in 2009. It is part of the I Talk You Talk Group. We translate from Japanese to English in the following fields: Business, tourism, marketing, PR and advertising. If you are a non-Japanese company looking to enter the Japanese market, please contact us to discuss whether we can meet your needs.

The translation office is managed by Heather Dixon. Originally from the UK, Heather has lived in Japan since May 2000. She passed 1st grade on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in 2003, and began translating in 2004. She was responsible for translating all the text and exhibits in the Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum in Matsue. Throughout her time in Japan, she has also taught English at tertiary institutions and private language schools, and now runs I Talk You Talk English School. She is also the co-founder of I Talk You Talk Press, which publishes graded readers for learners of English. She is the author of many graded readers, and the book How I Learnt Japanese and How You Can Too: 60 Tips to Guarantee Success.

In her spare time, Heather practices karate (she holds a 4th dan black belt), and enjoys running, reading and learning languages. She is currently studying Mandarin Chinese.
